Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar - RV Mount - 2" Hitch - 6,000 lbs
The install on my Ford Maverick is clean and functional, so this is more of a customer service review... excellent customer service! During the 4-day towing set-up install, the forecast was for freezing temps and my rig was not winterized. I called in mid panic and the motorhome was moved indoors. A few months after using the tow set-up, a minor problem developed. I called and the CSR apologized and said, I can see how that might be frustrating, and a replacement cable (slightly longer) was sent free of charge.
In February 2016 I bought a used Class A Motorhome with came with a Roadmaster Falcon Tow Bar. After a couple of trips around the country in my motorhome, I quickly realized why the majority of motorhomes I saw had a vehicle in tow. I searched for a decent tow vehicle and in June purchased a 2003 Chevy Tracker. I didn't know anything about Raodmaster or the quality of their products so I started reading reviews from satisfied owners and quickly realized I had a very good tow bar so I researched what I needed to hook it up on my Tracker. I got acquainted with eTrailer when I purchased the Base Plates to attach my Raodmaster Falcon tow bar to my Tracker. Derek at eTrailer was very helpful and took the time ensuring that I had the right parts to use with my used tow bar. The customer service I received was outstanding. I actually received my base plates the next day with free shipping! The installation instructions were clear and concise and I installed the base plates in about 1 hour and was ready to go. I took several trips (about 4,000 miles) with my Tracker in tow behind me and never had any issues. My Falcon Tow Bar I got with my RV is at least 10 years old and I considered buying a new one but I didn't want or need to spend the extra money since there really wasn't anything wrong with it. Then my last trip of the year (end of November) I was about 75 miles away from home running 75 mph (in traffic), when my Tracker (in tow behind me) was rear-ended on the highway. This accident could have been catastrophic but it wasn't. My old Falcon Tow Bar absorbed the majority of the impact! Needless to say, the tow bar was destroyed but the RV and Tracker never let go of each other. After settling up with the insurance company and fixing my Tracker, when it came time to buy a new tow bar, the Roadmaster Falcon II and eTrailer was a no-brainer. In my opinion, the quality of the Roadmaster product saved lives last November!

Roadmaster Falcon All-Terrain Tow Bar - Non-Binding - RV Mount - 2" Hitch - 6,000 lbs
Awesome hitch! Fills up easily and nicely. Easy to operate and not terribly heavy to handle if you need to store it.
Having used the Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain tow bar for over a year to tow a Kia Soul with our class A coach, I have nothing but good things to say about it. The tow bar is extremely easy to attach to the towed vehicle. Get close and the arms will connect, pull ahead and the arms lock into tow position. The cable management tubes on the side of the arms keep all electrical and safety cables organized and tangle free. The tow bar quickly folds and stores on the rear of the coach when not in use. Fit, finish, and construction is excellent. Instructions for set-up, use and maintenance are clear and complete. The reviews and videos provided by e trailer certainly helped with the decision to go with this particular tow bar, along with their great selection, price, and delivery. Thanks e trailer!

Roadmaster Nighthawk All-Terrain Tow Bar w/ LED Lights - Non-Binding - RV Mount - 8,000 lbs
We traveled 7,200 miles last winter pulling your 2023 2 door Jeep Wrangler and it performed Excellent. I did buy the optional cover which I think this is a wise investment to protect it when parked.
When I called etrailer with my concerns about purchasing a tow bar to flat tow my Grand Cherokee. I did not have a brand in mind other that what I read about in magazines. I was helped in making a decision on purchasing a RoadMaster tow bar along with all the electrical wiring needed to do the job. Everything came as described and was told if I had any problems what so ever to call for help. None needed but was good to hear knowing i had back up. I have used this tow bar and hook ups for around 10 or so camping trips. Mostly from Maryland to Myrtle Beach SC. No problems what so ever. I highly recommend etrailer and the RoadMaster lighted tow bar, wiring and bracket for my Car.

Roadmaster StowMaster Tow Bar - Coupler Style for 2" Ball - Car Mount - 6,000 lbs
The adjustable arms make this tow bar simple to hook up and disconnect. I can pull up behind our RV and hook up in about 3 minuets (including the wiring for our break buddy and putting the transfer in neutral). Disconnecting and stowing the bar is even faster. Although is tow bar is locked to the baseplate and folds flat it is so easy to remove I end up taking it off and putting it in the back when we will not be towing.
I was slightly nervous that this would be difficult to take on and off if I wasn't on flat ground. So for I have not had any issues and I really like that it hooks up to a 2 inch ball. My jeep has a lift on it and getting things level was easy with and adjustable height mount.

Blue Ox Acclaim Non-Binding Tow Bar - Coupler Style for 2" Ball - Car Mount - 5,000 lbs
While the quality of this units seems excellent, and it is a good price, I was unable to use it in my setup. I Bought it to go with the Blue Ox base plate for a 2014 Chevy Spark. That base plate sets the tow bar connections 23" above the ground. This tow bar requires a 7" rise from the base plate connection to the hitch. Meaning 30" above the ground at the hitch. In my rig, this would require a hitch riser of over 12". I have no complaints about the tow bar, however, it is not a good option with the 2014 Spark Blue Ox base plate.
Everything as advertised. Followed the videos and instructions for installing the base plates and tow bar and all were good. Did a test pull today and it towed great, straight as a dye. I only have 2 suggestions. There was no mention in the video of the space plate, which was included. Figured it out. Second suggestion, Install a 2" ball on your work bench and adjust the receiver to it. The instructions tell you what socket to adjust it with but that could have been done on the bench before shipping. Great product, so excited. We are off on a few hundred mile trip with the Fit behind the motorhome Wednesday. So excited. No more tow dolly.

Blue Ox Avail Non-Binding Tow Bar - RV Mount - 2" Hitch - 10,000 lbs
I regret not getting an aluminum tow bar. The bx7420 blue ox is covered when not in use and one year later it is rusted and looks like its 10 years old. I am beginning to question the safety of the tow bar. Not sure what to do. I have always had blue ox but will consider other brands very soon.
We have had very good results with all of our Blue Ox equipment. Our current Blue Ox (Avail) was purchased because I wanted the increase to a 10,000 pound unit. So far we've been pleased with the new towbar!

Roadmaster Sterling All-Terrain Tow Bar - Non-Binding - RV Mount - 2" Hitch - 8,000 lbs
First, received the package and upon opening, found that the linch pins were missing. One phone call and issue was resolved and replacement items were being expedited to me. Appears the box came open on one end during shipment and parts came out before carrier retaped the tear. Good on E-Trailer for outstanding and prompt customer service! Now, the Sterling All Terrain towbar - very impressive unit as I had bought this on reputation only as no dealers had any in stock (they say it is too costly to carry in store). Very well made, excellent finish and welds. Instructions are quite clear and easy to follow. I like that when you purchase this unit, it is a “total package”. There is nothing I could see that is cheaply made - all quality. This was my first purchase from E-trailer, and based on how this order went start to finish, and having to deal with missing parts on an order - I am very pleased and will deal with them in the future.
Great product. Everything works well....it's solid, durable and well built. The only complaint I have is the two plated bolts that hold on the tow vehicle knuckles are rusting and look terrible. I'm going to have to paint them I guess.

Roadmaster Nighthawk All-Terrain Tow Bar for Blue Ox Base Plate - Non-Binding - LEDs - RV Mount - 8K
Quick delivery and the tow bar was well packed and configured for my Blue Ox base plate. Thanks
Awesome Design. I love how everything is tucked away. It would've been nice to have some quick-connect points for the safety cables and pigtail when the Tow-Bar is in storage mode. As opposed to just wrapping the loose items and hooking back to themselves (seems tacky compared to the rest of the engineering). Beautiful Product!

Roadmaster BlackHawk 2 All-Terrain Non-Binding Tow Bar - RV Mount - 2" Hitch - 10,000 lbs
Easy to hook up our toad ( Jeep ). I can connect or disconnect in about 2 minutes all while standing. Stays right behind our RV and you only know its back there when you look in the rear view mirror. I would buy this again.
I have been using this to tow my 1997 F250. It tows great and no question, it is beefy enough. I left four stars because you have to spray it with a lubricant almost every time you use it to keep it from binding when you want to disconnect it. It works great as long as it’s lubricated. This is the only tow bar I have used so I am not sure if binding is normal or if this is works better than others. It seems like it it an issue with all tow bars. I am happy with this bar but there is always room for improvement.

Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar for Blue Ox Base Plates - RV Mount - 2" Hitch - 6,000 lbs
I decided to use an antique Blue Ox tow bar to pull my Mini Cooper behind our RV on a trip to Panama City beach last year. Big Mistake! If it looks questionable, don't use it. When we arrived I was extremely thankful that the Mini was still with us. The old Blue Ox bar was coming apart. I looked locally for a replacement and found one at Camping World and was shocked at the price. eTrailer had the exact same unit for hundreds and hundreds less. And they shipped it quickly right to the camp ground. The Roadmaster Falcon 2 tow bar is very easy to us and mated right up to the Blue Ox kit on the Mini. Thanks eTrailer! We will definitely buy from you again!
Even after I complained to you that I had been -- falsely -- told you do not supply a Blue Ox base plate for Malibus and bought a Roadmaster, you send me a Roadmaster tow bar with some other brand's connectors. I will shortly send you a photograph of the base plate connection I have and expect you to send connections that match it.

etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plates - RV Mount - 6,000 lbs
Outstanding product and even better customer service! Two backyard mechanics installed baseplate and braking system with just one call to confirm proper wire connection. Total package works great.
I've used it three times, and it's been great. Easy and quick to hook up, and unhook, to my Ford Escape Hybrid. I like the way it stores up against the motorhome. All the good things they said about it on this website were true!

Roadmaster Tracker Tow Bar - Coupler Style for 2" Ball - 5,000 lbs
Quick "free" ship (24 hours), easy install (once substrate work on vehicle completed, only takes 10 minutes), quality appears excellent. Still need "hitch up" restraint, safety cables and wiring harness.
I purchased both the parts of the tow system. I just purchase a Jeep Grand Cherokee (99) to pull behind our motorhome for week end trips. We just returned from the first week-end with access to a vehicle to move around the area, and short trips to town. It adds a wonderful dimension to the experience. This system allowed us to pull this vehicle with our motorhome, and I can say it pulled as if there was nothing behind me. It was quick to hook up, and easy to un-hook. My labor time to install was about 2 1/2 Hours, and went smoothly. This is a wonderful product, and works as desired. I have attached photos of the After installation, and the camp-site we stayed at, (proving we made it)

Curt Rambler Non-Binding Tow Bar - RV Mount - 2" Hitch - 7,500 lbs
I ordered this tow bar and D ring adapters specifically for my Bronco and it’s way to sloppy and I can’t use this to tow my Bronco
Great Base plate kit! Very easy to follow instructions even with my aftermarket bumper with winch. It fit perfect. The only issue I have is where the safety cables attach to the base plate….the cable connectors are too big to fit through the holes because the Jeep’s frame blocks part of the hole. See photo with red circle. I will have to get a smaller connector.

Demco Commander II Non-Binding Tow Bar - RV Mount - 2" Hitch - 6,000 lbs
I've used this setup for a year towing a 2023 Jeep Wrangler . I 100% recommend it for anyone else. Under normal conditions it is very easy. Under stressful conditions (bad weather, uneven terrain, need to connect/disconnect quickly) it is a life saver. I am 63 and I can connect/disconnect this in 5 minutes.
The customer service has been outstanding, helping me to understand all the parts I needed, telling me about the videos with step by step instructions, and the unbelievable fast delivery of the product.

etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar - RV Mount - 2" Hitch - 6,000 lbs
It didn't work with the off-road bumper setup that I was sold
Works pretty well, but starting to get some rust after less than 1 year. Not the quality I would expect from etrailer.

Curt Adjustable Tow Bar - Coupler Style for 2" Ball - 5,000 lbs
Functions by design. I pull a 2003 behind my motorhome. Easy to install, easy to connect to Jeep and hitch of motorhome. Never had an issue pulling, put about 5000 miles on since purchase. I would do it again if needed. Great product
Very nice, i have used it 4 times flat towing my 89 Jeep Wrangler YJ over 1000 miles. Very happy and tows like there is nothing behind me, thanks for a fine product!!

etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Blue Ox and Curt Base Plates - RV Mount - 2" Hitch - 6K lbs
Good design but poorly manufactured. Used on a single, multi-week trip: Bar stayed on the RV. Removed when we got home and the powder-coating has cracked and bar is showing rust inside and out. Chrome on extending arms is pitted and beginning to rust. Emailed etrailer but Cody informed me that I would have to ship it back at my expense without any commitment to replace! Disappointed with etrailer after years of previous purchases
We love our etrailer SD tow bar. Much lighter than our previous Blue Ox. The non binding feature along with the integral safety cables and multiple storage options are great features. We use it in conjunction with a NSA Ready Brake. Great combination. Our current coach is a 2017 Jayco Seneca 37HJ. Toad is a Ford C-Max Hybrid. Easiest to use tow bar we have ever owned.

Blue Ox Avail Tow Bar Installation - 2024 Chevrolet Equinox
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Blue Ox Avail Tow Bar on a 2024 Chevy Equinox. Now, there's five main components required for flat towing your Equinox down the road, and we'll start on the vehicle side, and that's gonna start with the base plate, and that attaches to the frame of the vehicle and gives us the structural mounting point for the rest of our connections. And the connecting point between the base plate and the hitch on the RV is gonna be your tow bar, and that's your second component. Again, this is the physical attachment, basically like the coupler of your trailer. This is what is going to pull this down the road. Now, just like a trailer, you also have safety cables just in case of disconnect.

Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain Tow Bar Installation - 2023 Chevrolet Equinox
Hey, everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2023 Chevy Equinox, we're gonna be checking out the Roadmaster Nighthawk Tow Bar. When it comes to picking out a tow bar, it's a really important decision, you know, because it's responsible for a lot of the work. And the Nighthawk is definitely one of my favorites. It's a more premier type tow bar, and it's gonna be really user-friendly and work out really well. So one of the biggest things a lot of people are concerned with is how easy is it to hook up And being a direct connect style, really nothing to it, but more importantly, the majority of this tow bar is made from aluminum, so it's more lightweight and a lot more manageable.

etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar Installation - 2020 Chevrolet Equinox
Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look at the etrailer SD tow bar on a 2022 Chevy Equinox. Now, some of the features that this tow bar offers kind of put it above some of the other ones that are out there. And that's really gonna be your non-binding, which is pretty much gonna mean once this is locked out and you're ready to unhook the vehicle, you can simply push this down and it'll allow you to pull these arms back, where binding tow bars are kind of a pain. They have to be on a flat, level ground and can be really tricky to unlatch.

Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2019 Chevrolet Equinox we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to set up the Roadmaster Nighthawk non-binding LED tow bar. I like this tow bar for many reasons, one of them being is how lightweight it's going to be. It's going to be so light because it's built from an aluminum construction, so that's going to make it easier to use.Another reason I really like it is it has this LED lighting. That's going to make it easy to see at nighttime and let people know that we are connected from our motorhome to our vehicle when we're going down the road. As you can see, even on a very bright and sunny day these LEDs are really going to shine.Another cool feature I really like about the tow bar is that on each side it's going to have this channel built in, and that's going to house not only our electrical cable, but our safety cable as well.

We're also gonna need some sort of lighting system to control the lights on the vehicle, as well as a braking system. So for starters here, the Alpha 2 is gonna be rated at 6,500 pounds, which is gonna be more than enough for our Equinox here.

So this particular tow bar here comes with a crossbar. It's essentially just a guide between these two sides of the arm. So this actually does come with the kit, but the reason we don't have it hooked up is because we're using this tow bar with the direct connect base plate arms that Roadmaster offers.
